Following the ballot result, further meetings have taken place on the 23rd and 24th April 2019, where GMB strongly reiterated members dissatisfaction and willingness to take industrial action in regard to the frequency of weekend working within the current rotas.
Whilst stating that the need to move to 7 day working/deliveries is essential to business sustainability, the company have acknowledged that members find the pace of the implemented change too drastic and have stated that they wish to work with GMB to find a collective solution.
The company have asked GMB for some time for them to explore ways to lessen the impact for all members/shifts. GMB have agreed to meet with the company again on 1st May 2019 where they will present any proposals to GMB.
